Our Story...
The Beaver Area Jaycees have dedicated themselves to supporting their community for over 60 years. Each year, members volunteer their time, all to benefit raising money for local children, families, seniors, and charitable organizations. The group hosts annual fundraisers such as the Money Mania Dinner, a spring and fall craft festival, Night at the Races, and also sells Christmas trees. All proceeds go straight back to charity. Through the year the group volunteers time cleaning up roadways, handing out bicycles and food and hosting a Christmas shopping spree for children.
The portion of the Jaycee creed 'Service to humanity is the best work of life!' is a key standard for the organization. By being active in the Jaycees, members learn the importance of community service, leadership, networking skills and much more.
Anyone 18+ is welcome to be a member of the Jaycees! Those under the age of 40 can hold a Board position, but we welcome anyone who is able to volunteer and help make Jaycee events a success! All are invited to come to any of our events and help out in any way! We encourage those under the age of 40 to join and become active, join the board, learn about community development, planning and fundraising!
The Jaycees meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm and the third Thursday of each month at 8:00 pm at Two Mile Run Lodge in Brighton Township.
Annual Membership Dues annually are $60 for those under 40, $30 for those over 40.
